Food Truck Friday

We haven’t done a Food Truck Friday in while so today we want to introduce you to one of DC Interns favorite weekend events!

Truckeroo-Flyer

Today from 11 am to 11 pm is the Truckeroo Food Truck Festival! Situated in the Nationals bullpen (across from navy yard metro) Truckeroo is definitely something all DC interns should check out.

More than 20 of DC’s top food trucks show up to serve some of their most famous dishes! This is a great opportunity to check out that one food truck that NEVER comes by your office (Korean taco truck we’re looking at you). There are also drink stands and live music all day! Also, did we mention this festival is free??

Besides the amazing food and cold beer there are also corn hole boards and other fun tailgate games too.

DC Intern went to Truckeroo last year and it was pretty awesome. Our advice – go early and get some food as quickly as you can. By 5:30 lines were insanely long and the place was packed.

So do us a favor, grab your other intern friends and head over to the nationals bullpen after work! Let us know what you think at @intern_dc!

Food Truck Friday!

It’s the last day of the work week which means it’s officially ….FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY!!!  Food trucks are a staple of the DC food scene. Everyday food trucks across the city post up outside our offices and provide us with amazing food from all over the world! We’ve got Panini trucks, chicken and waffle trucks, kabob trucks and every type of Asian food trucks! With so many options it’s impossible to try them all, and we are here to make sure you try the best ones.

This Friday we are highlighting the Korean BBQ Taco Lunch Box truck. Korean tacos are the sh*t. If you’ve never had one you are missing out in life because these things taste like they came straight from heaven.

The KBBQ Box truck has numerous different options that come as either a rice box, taco box or special box. DCIntern has encountered this truck on multiple occasions but most recently we tried the beef bulgogi taco box. And let me tell you…. It was phenomenal.

The beef was sweet and spicy at the same time, and paired great with some Sriracha sauce. Trust us when we say you cannot go wrong with this truck.

We’ve posted a picture of the menu below! If you’re lucky enough to see this truck do us all a favor and try it out!
